Denim Penchant

No matter how hard I try not to, I always end up buying a piece of denim clothing every now and then. Skinny jeans, regular ones, distressed, shirts, skirts, jackets, I'm pretty much obsessed.

I bought this particular piece, a lightweight denim jumpsuit from Elle, at a great price (Rs 1600 after a discount of 55%) a few months back. Comfort and style, this is what it speaks to me. It has a halter tie up with fabric braiding on the waist at the front and smocking at the back. The broad patch of braiding makes it look high waist and legs longer.

Since it is a single garment and has a look of its own, I decided not to play much with it and concentrated on the accessories and footwear.
I left my hair loose and tied a turban with one of my scarves, adding colour to the look and carrying my tan brown 3 Mad Chicks bag. The brown colour against blue and the telephone print adds character to an otherwise simple ensemble.
In the second look, I've tied my hair up in a bun and put on my spectacles, giving the ensemble a chic and classy feel.

Revived Rubik's

Why not start the blog by posting pictures of my own creation? :D

This is a work casuals look that I designed for my end term college assignment. The concept for the range was inspired by menswear and Friday Dressing. I am only posting the pictures of my ensemble, rather than the entire range. I designed these blue coloured high-waist twill trousers with a basic grey coloured tank top and a jacket with a double mandarin collar. To balance out the colours, I used welt pockets of the same colour as of the jacket at the front of the trousers. I also used stencil printing to print grey triangles (as our concept required geometric prints) on the hem of the jacket sleeves.

The entire ensemble turned out to be great and so did this shoot! Moving on to the pictures. Hope you guys like it. :)
